It's a little bit thicker than the XM5's cushions, just a bit, but combined with the MUCH better foam it makes for a much better fit and slight improvement to sound. An unexpected improvement is that with the original cushions, any slight bump would impact the ANC, with these, it seems it can resist a bit more before the ANC has to calibrate. Overall, really pleased.

I love these pads and they're just as soft and comfortable as the original without affecting the NC function. I bought them to replace the pads on my xm5's white/silver edition that get way too visibly grimy and dirty too quickly (yes, the black ear pads will fit on the silver edition.) Each pad has a little piece of plastic flash on the inside indicating the right/left and top/bottom position to ensure they go on correctly. Super simple to follow and is the 5-minute procedure.

My entire experience with WickedCushions was incredible. I found a discount code online, I received excellent customer service regarding my order, they arrived in 2 days, expertly packed, installation was a breeze, and they’re comfortable and high quality.
I did extensive research on the internet, (mainly Reddit) and stumbled across this website. My original ear pads were a year old, and were used every day for 5+ hours a day. They were beginning to go flat. I could feel my ear touching the inner foam for the driver. But with these, they’re ever so slightly larger, and it makes a massive difference. The size difference also has little to no effect on the ANC; at least I couldn’t tell.
I went with the silver color way, and the color is spot on to the actual headset. It’s not an easy color to replicate!
These seriously brought new life into my $400 headphones. I am forever grateful and will absolutely be coming back to WC for any of my future headphone needs.
TLDR; don’t hesitate. If you want these to feel brand new out of the box again, these cushions are seriously an upgrade.

So simple to install and such an immediate upgrade. These cushions feel so much more comfortable compared to the stock Sony ones, and they even make me. Sweat less! The only thing I wouldn't mind seeing are some more options! But the product itself is excellent!

Although the "Silver" color was out of stock when I was looking to make my purchase, I found that the "90s Black" doesn't look too bad on my "Silver" XM5s. The cushion is firm enough to keep my ears from bottoming-out which makes it more comfortable for me to wear them for longer periods of time. The only downside is that the ANC is ever-so-slightly worse with these cups than the stock ones. When I have media playing, the difference is barely noticeable, if at all, but when there is no media, I can just hear my central air running when I don't recall that being the case before. I would be curious to see how well they perform on a plane.
Still, they are good enough for my purposes and I enjoy the flair that the cushion brings to my headphones. I will probably pick up the silver ones when they are back in stock just so that I can have a spare in case anything happens or I decide that I want to go back to a matching color.

Got these less than 3 weeks ago and a seam is already ripped. (see picture)
Not going to give them one star or anything because I do sleep with my headphones every night, so I'll admit it's heavy use.
That being said, they are advertised as being very durable and long lasting. So, yeah... 4/5

While they are more comfortable in one way (not pressing down on the earlobes after a while), they seem to leave a small gap behind the ear (where the neck end and the back of my head begins). This means ANC isn't as effective as it can be.
This can also be solved by having another (much softer) layer of foam, about half a centimetre or so on top of the existing foam, designed to collapse at the slightest hint of pressure on it. So any gaps like what I described above would be sealed, but the wearing experience would otherwise be unaffected.

These saved the Sony XM5s for me. With the default Sony earpads I couldn't wear them for more than 30m-60m without pain on the side of my head by the ear. After swapping for Wicked Cushions I have no more pain and can comfortable wear my headphones for hours. High quality material, comfortable, no break-in period, and adds some cool personality to the headphones. Highly recommend if you find your XM5s uncomfortable out of the box.

Love the feel, and I have nothing bad to say about how they feel. They also still sound great, and I'd never change back to the original ones because these are way too comfortable.
Now, I have the option to pause playback whenever I take off my headphones toggled off, so I haven't tested anything there. And the only quirk I've noticed, is that they'd randomly shut off when on my head because I had the "turn off when headphones are not on"-option toggled on in the app. Personally I just turned that option off, and everything is fine for me. It might have been something that happened when I changed the pads as well.

Not bad. Comfortable. Fixed an issue I was having with the right ear going mental with bass unless I shut off ANC.
Just make sure when you buy these to not throw away your old earpads. The serial that you need to use your warranty is printed inside of them.

I ordered these thinking it will take 2 months to deliver, but I was surprised it got here in 4 days! (Shipping to Czech Republic)
As for the replacement itself, it is really easy, snaps right in (not all clicked audibly but it holds perfectly)
Replacement Earpads are bit thicker than originals and finally my ears are not touching inside the earcup.
Maybe subjective feeling is that my skin around ears is not sweating that much.
Overall if you need tiny more distance between your ear and earcup. This will do the trick.
In few words: Affordable, fast delivery, easy to install.
PS: to the engineers at wicked cushions. If you would create even thicker version (some of us does not use the proximity sensor) and/or perforated or even suede versions that would be great. !
